A home for development, confidence, and resilience

North Cobb Soccer Academy was created with one purpose: to give young athletes a place where they can grow, feel supported, and discover the strength within themselves. In a world where kids face pressure, challenges, and constant change, we wanted to build something steady — a home for development, confidence, and resilience.

The Phoenix became our symbol because it represents everything we believe about children. They fall, they struggle, they doubt themselves — but with the right guidance, they rise stronger every time. We built our academy around that truth.

Our story began with a simple idea: professional coaching should be accessible, positive, and focused on the whole child — not just the athlete. We saw the need for a soccer academy in the Cobb County area that offered structure, discipline, and real development, but also warmth, encouragement, and mentorship. Parents wanted a place where their children were trained with care, not just coached with intensity. Kids needed a space where they could learn, fail, try again, and grow without fear.

So we created an academy where every player is seen. Every effort is recognized. Every setback is treated as a chance to rise.

Our coaches are trained not only to teach the game, but to build character. We focus on technical excellence, tactical understanding, physical development, and emotional strength. We teach players how to move with purpose, think with clarity, and compete with heart. But more importantly, we teach them how to believe in themselves.

Meet Head Coach Vinny

Soccer has always been one of my greatest passions, but family comes first.

Coaching

I played high school soccer at Hamilton High School West in New Jersey and have continued my involvement in the game through recreational coaching, middle school coaching, and assisting with adult Sunday League soccer.

My partner and I have six kids and two beautiful granddaughters, so life is always busy. Our oldest daughter has a home of her own just six minutes down the road, keeping our growing family close. Our family also includes Woodland High School students and graduates, twin sophomore boys who share my passion for soccer and compete at the N1 semi-professional level, and our youngest, who is in sixth grade.

My partner works in accounting, while I work as a production lead in the remanufacturing and rebuilding of petroleum parts. After work, you'll usually find me coaching, driving to practices, watching one of the kids play, or at home watching soccer. If you see me and the twins, there's probably a soccer ball at our feet.

Most weekends are spent on a soccer field. When we're not playing soccer, our family loves being on the lake fishing, tubing, and wakeboarding, and we try to attend church together on Sundays.

As both a coach and a parent, I understand the commitment families make to youth sports. My goal is to create an academy where players can work hard, make mistakes, learn, develop, and discover just how far their passion and determination can take them.
